Installation of Wine tools

Running installer:

cd spss_install/SPSS_10.0/SPSS
wine setup.exe

MINOR ISSUE First install was unsuccessful, but I was switching the desktop and windows. Output:

fixme:ole:MSFT_ReadValue BSTR length = -1?
fixme:ole:ITypeInfo_fnRelease destroy child objects
wine: Unhandled division by zero at address 0x485cf0 (thread 000e), starting debugger...

Second attempt to install was successfull. However, there is an error. SPSS installer is asking to isntall Adobe Acrobat Reader. But the dialog is empty:

MINOR ISSUE

Running the SPSS. By startup SPSS opens “file open dialog”. When user just press “cancel” and then “File - Exit”, there are some errors in the console output. However, nothing critical.

CRITICAL

Opening data file and clicking to “Variable view” tab crashes SPSS completely.

Bug ID = 5205

VERY CRITICAL

After several crashes, SPSS cannot be started again. There is NO OUTPUT AT ALL (in console or graphical). Only once after that error emerged, SPSS was successfully started after some time, but now it is not working, even after reboot. There is no SPSS process, no wine process runnig. The error persists evena fter reboot and complete reinstall of wine.

You can note that in wine-SPSS output is missing title “Frequencies” (instead there is too much blank space) and SPSS reports some “SAX Basic” error.
